This has been in my mind for a while and I think it's time to address this.

Why is Button considered as the GOAT by winning everything and how he changed the sport forever?

I'll compare some skaters' achievement. https://twitter.com/eddiec2715/status/1358026073645187074

Button was a dominant skater. He has a short career, though.
Button landed jumps as "firsts". He is not the only one, though.

So, how does he changed the sport? More importantly, did he do it as a competitor or as a competitor, performer, & commentator?
Also, the TES requirements to dominate a sport from Button era have evolved drastically over the years. If Button competes now, he won't even make it to the free skate. GOAT, as in "all-time" including now? Hardly.

I won't even touch the difference in judging criteria.
So, can we now crown Salchow as the true GOAT? The guy has 20 gold medals from Olympic, Worlds, and Euros. He's not an American though.
