I’m sorry if this is unwanted, but I’ve seen a lot going on in the yakuza fandom lately and there has been a lot of anger. Anger is a warranted emotion! It’s a secondary emotion that we feel as a result of being hurt, and everyone gets hurt. 1/?
One on side of the fandom, I feel that people have seen negative posts that they’ve taken personally. Again, that’s normal! However, it’s healthy to stop and think if the post really applies to you or if anxiety is making you jump to conclusions and become defensive 2/?
Usually, a post like that isn’t directed at you specifically! If you truly feel that a general post is or could be directed at you, though, it’s also healthy to look critically at yourself. If we’re constantly on the defensive, then it’s hard for us to grow. 3/?

I’ve personally had people in the fandom be lesbophobic to me in recent days. It’s definitely not excusable but it’s explainable — we’re at each other’s throats. We feel the need to defend ourselves by attacking each other. No situation is the same so 8/?
I can’t claim to speak for everyone!! Moving forward though, I do want us to be kind to ourselves first and foremost. That includes allowing ourselves to take a step back and engage in fandom in a healthy way. I’m always here to talk. Everyone please hang in there
