I was enchanted by books like Starring Sally J. Freedman, Goodnight Mr. Tom, Summer of my German Soldier (

So it's evocative of an industrious, victory-garden growing, Rosie the Riveter type of American attitude, but even if you're too young to have missed that, it's still going to catch the generation that lived through the swing revival of the 90s
