Thread on why Valverde is one of the problems. Read it fully for my fair explanation.

Like and rt for more 🙏❤️
Every attack aspect of ours massively decreased, no shit that our mentality also getting bad.
Valverde managed to get the best out of Messi, yes. But Messi was not able to bail us out at Roma and Anfield because we had some certain who can't even finish in front of goal.the
Signings under Valverde, only 4 became regular starters (at least for 2 seasons). Now,
Vidal (out)
Arthur (out)
Semedo (out)
Lenglet (complicated)
Captain obvious
Obviously, Suarez scored less and Messi has to do all the work. Box to box midfielders who played under Valverde had 0, yes 0 creativity under Valverde. If you say it's ain't Valverde's fault then no. It is his fault that he didn't make the best out of players like Rakitic.
Valverde was too afraid of the players and didn't have the balls to bench players like Suarez who didn't help enough in the attack.
This season, obviously Messi was in the form of his life. The only game he didn't play, the lose.
What's funny is in the Enrique era, our fans told us that we don't play the Barca way under Enrique and were happy for him when he left. Then, boom we got Valverde.
Under Valverde, we obviously played the 4-4-2 system. In the 4-4-2 system, we were lacking width on either side. Busquets frequently moves down to back it back 3 while Alba and Semedo pushed up. This is not a problem if both our fullbacks are very good at tracking back. So, yeah.
With Neymar being on the left side, Alba wasn't given much responsibility before. So, we weren't that vulnerable at the back. Valverde pushing him high up made a brilliant Messi and Alba connection. Which only lasted for 1.5 seasons and other teams able to easily defend this.
Under Valverde, we play slow-paced football which is very frustrating to watch. If we lose possession, a counter is all it takes for us to concede. Setien coming in wasn't able to change much as he wasn't given enough time sadly.
Our shots per game percentage went downhill,
Another thing, Neymar pushing it out wide drags the RB with him which stretches the opposite team's defense. But under Valverde, they will just hold the defensive structure and we would struggle to score unless Messi creates something out of nothing.
Under Valverde, our players became lazy and we rarely press the opposition. Which let them have more time to think and pass around before attacking. Pressing could easily make your opponent make mistakes That's why it is so important to do so.
We never controlled the midfield under Valverde, which is why it is always 2vs3 in the middle of the park. Under Valverde's 4-4-2, long balls is the other way to screw us up other than counters. Every La Liga team is aware of this and will try their best to make this happen.
We were all aware of this defensive weakness of ours. But Valverde never made any progression in that.
We shifted back to 4-3-3 in 2018/19 but still, there is a lack of width on the left side. Coutinho obviously can't play winger and he struggled his spell under Valverde. We had Roberto and Rakitic overloading on Messi's side. Overloading but no use of the space provided.
This is how we look in a match when Suarez is the only player that could be fed. Suarez was obviously wasn't even at his best and can't finish the served chances.
Different Season, same problem. We never learnt from our mistake. We never had enough after Roma. Obviously, Bartomeu was the root of all our problems followed by subproblems.
Biggest carry job in the history of the game, 18./19. We were literally 3 games away from the treble.
Above all, this is ain't Valverde's fault tho.
Blaming Valverde 100% for everything is obviously not intelligent. He was obviously one of the big problems in our club. Again, it all started from Bartomeu. This thread is just some of those problems.
