Self-sabotage happens because finally getting what you want can be absolutely terrifying.
You wanted love for so long now you’re ghosting someone. You wanted a best friend but you won’t let the person close. You got a new job offer and you find everything you don’t like to not accept it.
No one ever talks about the imposter syndrome that can come with good things happening after all someone is used to is the bad.
This self-sabotage can happen in the process of working on a goal that will bring a huge blessing or when the blessing finally comes in.
It can also happen by purposely making everything seem overly temporary like a suitcase mentality (like refusing to unpack). Never truly allowing yourself to take ownership of blessings because you think they won’t last.
I do not have the answers. I struggle with this myself. I was just thinking out loud.
