1) Mainstream media outlets are going into overdrive today with doomsday nonsense about how Trump and his allies are now somehow magically winning and all hope is lost for the rest of us. There are likely two reasons behind this sudden spike in total bullshit.

2) First, the media can't be happy with what's happened to its ratings over the past few weeks. And whenever this happens, the media ALWAYS responds by manufacturing doomsday narratives designed to scare you into staying tuned in.

3) Second, once Trump is acquitted, the media is going to spin it as Trump having magically gotten away with everything, and Trump now somehow being some kind of 2024 contender. The media is pretty clearly laying the groundwork for a wave of doomsday hysteria already.

4) When the media begins pushing fictional doomsday hysteria for ratings, it isn't just a waste of everyone's time. It pushes real news out of the headlines. And it causes activists like you to become too paralyzed with doom to keep fighting. It causes EXTREME harm.

5) So at times when the media decides to temporarily become your enemy, which is where it looks like we're headed right now, it's more important than ever to keep the facts in mind.

6) The facts: Trump just lost in a blowout and has an even lower approval rating now. He's not within a million miles of being a 2024 contender. He's also a broken, defeated, half senile shell of himself who clearly has no fight left in him. He'll be in prison before 2024 anyway.

7) "But Trump could still jump out at us from behind every dark corner we walk past..." No. That's what the media WANTS you to think, so you'll be scared enough to stay tuned in 24/7, so the media will hit its ratings marks. It doesn't make any of it true.

8) The media spent 2018 insisting Trump would somehow magically pardon his way to victory. The media spent 2019 insisting Trump's impeachment acquittal would magically hand him a second term. The media spent 2020 insisting he would magically win the election while he was losing.

9) At some point you have to realize the media has simply been bullshitting you about Trump all along, for the sake of ratings. They've always painted him as magically defeating you. They were wrong at every turn. They weren't even trying to be right, they just wanted ratings.

10) Many of you ask why Palmer Report is proven right about this stuff nearly every time, and the mainstream media is wrong about it nearly every time. I'm not Nostradamus, and they're not idiots. I'm just being honest, and they're bullshitting you for ratings. It's that simple.

11) Before Biden even took office, I warned you that the media would become even more dishonest. At least during the Trump era, the media could hit its ratings marks just by covering his scandal of the day. Now the media has no idea how to keep its ratings high. Hence dishonesty.

12) Your job, as a consumer of news, is to keep in mind at all times that the media exists to scare you for the sake of ratings. It's like being inside a haunted house. You can't allow yourself to fall for the doomsday hysteria the media pushes on you. It's corrosive.

13) "But we have to pay attention to the doomsday hysteria have to be vigilant..." No. Vigilance is based on things that are real. When you're baited into being "vigilant" about things that aren't real, that's not vigilance, it's gullibility. It means you're being played.

15) The real problem we're facing: even though Trump is 100% finished in public life, the majority of GOP politicians and voters are still loyal to his ghost, in increasingly weird ways. But the media doesn't talk about that, it's too focused on pretending he's still in the game.

16) When the media succeeds in paralyzing you with fear about scary things that aren't real, not only does it demotivate you from your activism, it also keeps you from focusing on the scary things that are real. That's the real shame of the media's ratings-driven games.
