Only made sausage rolls today and I'm already stuffed. A couple of you asked me for a recipe and honestly it's stupid easy and versatile! Your main ingredients are sausage meat, puff pastry, melted butter and an egg.
Step 1. Pre heat your oven to 350°. You wanna season the meat in your own preferred way, I like garlic salt, lemon pepper and a bit of cajun but you can go with anything incl chopped peppers, onions, cilantro w.e you like. Mix it all in dry in a bowl and put aside
Step 2. Beat the egg and melt about half a stick of butter, put to one side and now take your puff pastry sheet and cut into 4 squares, brush each square with eqq wash and now take your seasoned meat and roll into sausage shape, not to big and should be the length of square.
Step 3. Now fold the pastry over, and use a fork to press down, the egg wash will hold it together, put on a backing try with either foil or wax paper underneath and ofc brush all of them with butter to prevent burning or drying out and put in the oven until golden brown and puff
Either eat hot or put in the fridge for later, eat alone as a snack or with something else eggs or wtfe, ENJOY!
