I find some news organizations (often local) to be really beyond the pale.....one earlier today was saying incarcerated people getting vaccinated was "proving that crime pays"

People in prisons have been dying at a rate 3X that of the general population 1/

In addition, most people in prisons have been largely locked-down for most of the pandemic with no visitors and reduced food.....if they get infected they are often put in a form of solitary

It has been anything but a pleasure cruise and prison is pretty awful regardless 2/

None of them were sentenced to die from COVID and yet more die every single day in a place where they cannot socially distance or look after their own health care....where they are totally dependent on a brutal system to help them when they get sick and way too often die

so, you can take that nonsense down the street, and anyone who said it should be ashamed of themselves (or at least actually learn about a topic before printing a story about it)

But if you are really convinced prison is showing that crime pays....I suspect almost every single incarcerated person would be glad to trade places with any members of the local press trying to write clickbait headlines
