but when you zero in on someone who DELIBERATELY covers up to be judged for their actions instead of their appearance, to exercise their personal definition of modesty, and you embed it in media highly known for its sexual content? that's a terrible look.
Hollywood already has scene after scene of """unavoidable""" situations where hijabis """have to""" take off their hijab and it's tiring. y'all want to see what's underneath so bad when the point is for you to see what we DO.
to say nothing of the fact that many muslims, myself included, have a complicated relationship with embracing sexuality, because of community taboos & expectations. for me personally, it HAS been psychologically damaging. to turn that into something titillating is unconscionable.
