Why Iron Man beats Batman, marginally.

Respect these two superheroes. Leading names in the franchise; the most recognisable superheroes in the world of comics, going toe to toe.
My analysis starts with Batman, through History, Combat and Technology.
Batman has battled with the best in the DC Universe. We're talking some super beings that are way beyond our creative imaginations and some crime lords that would easily reign terror on our streets. Batman has the experience and knowledge in battle to take down Iron Man.
However; one can argue due to the status of Superman, writing a fight where Batman comes out on top would culminate in significantly nerfing the titan and buffing the underdog; largely down to writing as seen in Batman v Superman.
It left a sour taste in my mouth that instead of giving Batman a highly elevated status by destroying Superman through logic and combat, Superman had to be on his knees through a writing perspective in the films to have Batman being perceived as a superior force.
Could this be down to the DCEU? Yes. But we cannot ignore that. But what we also cannot ignore is a far superior comic book standing Batman comes from in comparison to the films, Dark Knight trilogy excluded.
Batman has an unbelievable pedigree fighting superpowered beings such as Darkseid, Kaiyo and Trigon, thus consistently showing why he is one of the best around in the superhero world despite his limitations due to having ZERO supernatural abilities.
Batman is usually an underdog in these kinds of fights; largely because people perceive him to be a lot weaker than expected. However he always looks to exploit weaknesses and has done do against "God-like" characters created within DC Comics.
This is largely down to his Hand to Hand combat style. I believe Batman would be better off fighting Captain America in a boxing match instead of Iron Man, as Iron Man is considerably weaker in that arena.
Finally, technology. It's no surprise two technological geniuses are grounded in the technology that builds their base to being protected, and Batman does it efficiently but with the help of Lucius Fox. Batman relies on these gadgets as much as his suit and his HtH combat.
Batman most certainly makes a strong case as to why he would topple Iron Man, and he has all the essentials to take down someone like Iron Man, but whilst I agree Batman does get disrespected in this 1v1, Iron Man has an extremely viable case as to why he beats Batman.
Again, I'll apply the same format. Analysis on Iron Man through History, Combat and Technology.
Iron Man's battles have always been against a bigger enemy and even enemies that are his friends. Whilst Batman took out titans, at the v least, Iron Man has battled with beings that would wipe the floor with him usually.
The EMP thrown at Iron Man is always a first line of defence for Batman. But you must be blind to think Iron Man would actually let that just happen. Magneto, a man who literally controls metal, couldn't defeat Stark because of him thinking way ahead of the curve.
But the Marvel comic argument is significantly weaker in comparison to the entire DC comic argument, despite being able to destroy Captain America, take down Dr Doom and battle hard against Deadpool.

Yet, I believe the MCU provides an even stronger case for Iron Man's victory.
Iron Man develops his tech, his character, everything. His whole arc is dictated in a manner to make you appreciate how powerful and grounded he has become in the way he applies his tech to good use. His history within the MCU is etched in the Hollywood stars.
Iron Man took down a seriously VEXED Hulk, battled two super soldiers and went toe to toe with one of the greatest villains in cinema in Thanos whilst just suffering an entire moon thundering upon him. Iron Man is inevitably going to conquest Batman in the cinematic industry.
In terms of combat; his inferiority to Batman's is showcased in Civil War. Captain America could have easily killed him.

BUT.

Iron Man's tech had countermeasures to allow him to take down both Bucky and Cap before an inevitable loss against an emotional Cap.
I believe if Iron Man could adopt better countermeasures into his tech, he would be able to fend off Batman, but only for a certain period because the instinct of Batman would override his tech, but at a costly expense of cardiovascular fitness.
I've analysed Iron Man's tech throughout in a seamed manner where it's a common theme; but ironically, he is nothing without the suit if he wanted to be a superhero. Wayne v Stark would be a massacre, but because its Batman v Iron Man, the latter has supreme tech.
Certified in Electrical Engineering, you would have to assume Stark undeniably has the high ground in theory vs Batman through tech. Ability to fly, an armoured exoskeleton, you name it, Iron Man would destroy Batman with it through tech, because if he could prepare vs Hulk đź‘€.
Consider this as my foregone conclusion.

Batman has experience in big fights. We're talking like a prized middleweight boxer taking down heavyweights. He also has pedigree with the comics. You can't write off Batman's mentality when it comes to fights like this.
However, Iron Man is blessed with a brain far superior than Batman's. I'm talking super advanced tech that could render Batman useless by the hour. Sure it would be hard, but it feels inevitable. An EMP drone wouldn't realistically bother Stark if he's made adequate preparation.
Finally, Batman would beat Iron Man in combat yes. But it isn't a fight of fists, it's an overall, take into account of every aspect fight. Iron Man's tech would surpass Batman's combat skills, plus the tech of Iron Man would be embedded in combat.

Thus.
