This one has been in my drafts for a while, waiting for today.
I'd like to take this moment to talk about the NFL's social programming team. The people who push send on every social post from the @NFL, @NFLNetwork and @nflthrowback handles across three major platforms.

A few things about us:
We work the longest hours.
We're always on call.
We live in the shadows, sometimes footnotes in content show-and-tells.
We are the most exposed to making career-ending, public mistakes.
We aren't fans during games. We work them, hard.

Our creativity isn't as front-facing as the incredible video edits or illustrations you see on league feeds.
But we write damn good copy and can tell you exactly what makes a good social post.
We're creators who don't always get shine, so I'm going to try and give us some.

Meet @BlairB3rry aka Blair. She came to us already a pro at the start of the 2020 season. It's not often we find someone who can immediately throw themselves into an NFL season and voice our accounts. A natural.
She's also met Joe Biden AND Kamala Harris (wtf).

This is @Dan_Aburn aka Meme Lord. Not only has he held the No. 1 spot on our joke leaderboard the last five months, but Dan's card up his sleeve is sneaky good video editing in a pinch.
If this wasn't his job, he'd be dropping
tweets about LAX. Oh wait, he does that already.

That brings us to @carlyfascig5 aka Corl. She posts on NFL accounts more than anyone on this team. If you need something, it's usually Carly who's first to volunteer. She can cut video, write copy, lead meetings and may take all our jobs one day. (Please don't, I have a family.)
Say hello to @rice_courtney_ aka Crice. Need a jack of all trades? Courtney's the plug. Organized and savvy, she is half of @NFLNetwork social. She brings an energy that lifts us up, a necessary trait for future leaders.
Disclosure: She is a Packers AND Chiefs fan. (EYE ROLL)

Next up is @MikeyCiv aka Chivs. He is the only person on the programming team with legit design skills. Peep @NFLNetwork's IG grid and you'll see his work, as Mike continues to push himself to learn new skills. He will also happily interrupt any conversation...
"Chivs'd it!"

Here we have @_kevinvu aka KevinVu2. He is the one and only voice of @NFLThrowback accounts. When he isn't memorizing every Rams depth chart in history, he is live-tweeting games and supporting the main account with full autonomy.
Per his nickname, he is version 2 of Kevin Vu.

Oh what's up, @nicktoneytweets? If you like good copy and big ideas, you'll like Nick. He has raw writing talent in all formats. He also has ideas, lots of them, and will stand tall in big meetings for something he believes in. A lot of our activations come from his brain.
Let's talk about @ScottTKope, one of the most gifted people you'll met. Instincts are probably his greatest strength. He knows what to do, always, and has the experience of someone 10 years past his age.
He's successfully thwarted our coups, but plans of an overthrow continue.

And now, @brycegustafson. An OG of NFL programming. Bryce built most of what NFL social is from the ground up.
He leads with fairness and understanding, because he's truly been through each stage of working in the industry. Now, after all these years, he can sleep at night.

This is the best set of people I've ever worked with.
We make decisions together.
We challenge each other.
We laugh together.
We create together.
And the best part? We're friends.
That is NFL social programming. A true team.

What we accomplished this season in the face of uncharted challenges is mind-melting. But honestly, I'm not surprised. We can take on anything.
So please, follow these people. Ask them questions about their jobs. They're truly the gold standard.
Now, to the offseason!
