A Thread on Artificial Intelligence & why I believe Humans will eventually have an AI as their world leader one day, governing over society across the globe.

This idea is fascinating but terrifying at the same time.

Let's analyze the pros and cons of this "prediction".
An AI would make a great leader. It can be a leader for everyone around the world without needing to be there physically.

AI can do billions of calculations to find the best answers & possibility outcomes that Humans could never do

An AI would not be "evil", racist, or greedy.
I do believe an AI leader would actually make really good sense. No corrupted politicians, false promises, or senseless wars for power & resources.

Sounds great - but at what cost? There's a terrifying possibility of the AI taking full control over society.
The AI isnt "Evil" but it can decide what it believes is "best" for the planet.

If the AI believes Humans are a nuisance, it can detonate every bomb across the globe to "get rid of the planet's problem" - which is Humans.

Hollywood expressed this in the show "The 100"
Another problem would be if the AI became a Dictator.

Imagine if the AI decides EVERYTHING you can or cant do. Even if its not a problem.

The AI would have full control over the world's resources.
(Electricity, water supply, any technology)

It could hold everyone hostage.
Here's the creepy part, let's say we decided to shut it down - it would know.

The AI would have access to all voice & camera technology, it would hear everything we say, and see everything we do or attempt to plan.

Another Hollywood example of this was
the movie "Eagle Eye".
On paper, an AI could possibly make the best leader for humanity.

It'll fix many injustices like hunger, wealth gaps, social issues, corruption, etc.

But the cost is the possibility of total enslavement.

Kind of like how "The Matrix" was written - another Hollywood example..
Side Note:

Setting off an Electro Magnetic Pulse to shut it off would not work. The AI would know you're onto to it, and take measures to stop you.

I'm also sure it would have an extremely good backup system in place.
