News Corp headliners are trying to frame Craig Kelly as an independent truth teller who is being smeared for going against the orthodoxy.

That's absurd: Kelly baselessly speculates or, worse, shares info that he knows is wrong, undermining real experts.

Here's some examples:
While promoting hydroxychloroquine to the head of the TGA, Kelly claimed a massive study that found no benefit for HCQ had mistakenly tested the wrong drug, somehow.

The TGA head said that's impossible.

Kelly ignored that and kept posting that claim to his massive FB audience.
Kelly claims BoM changes data to make people believe in climate change — something Kelly doesn't believe in.

BoM is open about why it edits (to remove artificial biases to account for changing weather station locations & other issues).

He keeps claiming malfeasance.
Kelly also tries to disprove 'global warming' by repeatedly posting about cold weather around the world or hot weather records in the past.

Of course, anyone with a basic understanding of climate change would know that these facts don't disprove it.
He also propagates stupid conspiracy theories: that Extinction Rebellion was lighting fires during the bushfires, that the US Capitol insurrection was a false flag operation, that the World Economic Forum was behind a push to get rid of medals post the Brereton Report
It's objectively true that Kelly is not a credible source of information. He ignores expert advise, he misrepresents science, he shares crazy, false ideas.

He has been an irresponsible communicator in a position of power (not to mention his other conduct) and deserves critique
Also to peel back the curtain of being a journalist: I don't have time or the expertise to go through each study!

But I do know that:
- Australia's top experts are evaluating the evidence & don't agree with him
- when experts engage with him, they poke holes in what he says.
