I feel 50/50 with the conversation, conceptually interesting but delivery lacklustre. Zeke really died just like that? Yikes. What kind of conclusion is that for such a pivotal character. His year long disappearance is hella unsatisfying now. What a waste.
Bringing back the dead or whatever is walking on very thin ice. Idk how to feel about that, hope the ending can make sense of that. The Paths dimension feels so poorly established in hindsight and it’s straining my believability with its vague but continuous abuse in the end.
A lot of what’s happened like every other chapter feels so contrived, awkwardly paced in events, action looking ugly and below par compared to usual standards, and things happening far too conveniently for the alliance once again and NO Eren POV AGAIN ffs.
Eren’s the sole main conflict and protagonist of the story yet he feels like a side character for the entirety of the last stretch barring 131. It’s so obvious that he’s going to do some uno reverse cos the story made it unnecessarily predictable. The mystery really died out man.
This better be just translation issues cos this dialogue sucks. Killed the tone and weight of the supposed climatic moment. The execution is just unnatural.
Zeke pretty much carried this chapter yet his role and sudden change was still massively disappointing by the end, sigh.

Eren must have a 4D chess plan, no way did he lose and fall just like that.
Clearly Isayama is relying on last second context to make sense of things which bothers me. Maybe the story ending will be consistent and plausible but the journey to get there at its crucial stretch was amateur like for what’s supposedly a brilliant writer.
This is what happens when you pull out 10+ nothing chapters and then cram everything into just 1 chapter and expecting it to work. It just comes off as poor.
