yall also really miss the fact that black women have learned to do all these styles thru trial and error. even lacefronts, if u was on forums back when it began, it was all experimentation. u wasnt supposed to use hairspray or gel to glue on a wig either but somebody tried it.
the concept of a hair relaxer which is now socalled normal was some bold black woman experimenting with caustic ass lye. please. i know hella bitches went bald before they got it right. and we still burn thru our scalp to this day.
u not supposed to use a elmers glue stick to cover your eyebrows&paint them on differently. u wasnt supposed to use a stocking on ya head under ya wig. u wasnt supposed to comb & set ya eyebrows with soap but they did it and now ppl sell it as a product. that was experimentation
gorilla glue girl was actually very inventive and resourceful. the formula didnt work out and that sucks bad. she was tryina make a way outta no way. but she not the first or last to experiment. every product u use was somebodys hairbrained idea. pun intended.
