As regards the little hate group under discussion here and several others, it really does horrify me that after the better part of a decade being full of really obvious examples of why it is imperative for society to actively inoculate children against nazi recruiters, we haven't https://twitter.com/HazelMonforton/status/1358799999514124290
so much as lifted a damn finger about it. I mean, I see the odd academic article here and there, but it's clearly not sticking. So, let me try a real quick 101 thread.

Most people, or at least a very good chunk, have a very strong desire to be good and be a positive active force
And most people have some very vague and fuzzy ideas on how one actually goes about doing that, with a few of the major beats of whatever media/religious environment/other sources of sermonizing got their hooks in and left impressions, mixed with bits of junk noise here and there
The way fascists recruit is to take advantage of the above. They seek people out who are via their actions or interests, clearly seeking to actively do some good, and exploit the muddied waters around the concept in their minds, and the usefulness of having clear human targets to
focus on, and, put real simply, tricks those people who want to do good but need some guidance into doing unspeakably evil things instead with some emotional appeals and questionable wordplay.

A few examples you may recognize:
"Hey, you care about economic prosperity and living
in good neighborhoods right? You should really be concerned about these immigrants and these people with newly won civil rights moving in here and getting jobs and political power. Who knows what they're up to, they're not from around here!"
"Hey, you want to be part of the whole
husband and wife team raising kids together deal, right? That only works if there's an even number of men with nice jobs and women to tend homes while they're away! If we let all these queer people do whatever chaos will destroy all that!"

"Hey you're a weird introvert who cares
about nothing but having really good media to consume, right? Did you know people sometimes criticize media or interpret stuff in different ways that the creators might here about and consider? They could ruin everything!"

"Hey you see all those activists who shine spotlights on
serial sex offenders and racists? There's probably a bunch they're missing. And maybe they're just as bad, someone's gotta watch the watchers, right?"

And of course sometimes it's just about exploiting some other passion. "Hey, you like finding cool new Minecraft mods and seeing
how they work, right? Here's a bunch of youtube channels to follow with advice on that and all sorts of other stuff! Subscribe to JewHater88, MinecraftersGTO, and 6MCoalNotEnough. They do real cool builds!"

The actual pitch-lines are better than these examples obviously, and the
places they go to do the recruiting are always small, obscure, and off people's radar, so the current population of people who know how to spot this stuff and nip it in the bud generally aren't paying attention.
