Since this was asked on stream and was a great question I wanted to post it here: “what were some great “a-ha” moments that made you a better player?”
A few come to mind...
A few come to mind...
(1) Realizing you’re dumb and being able to accept that other sources can know better than you (kind of a lot)
Everyone is dumb all the time and if you’re unwilling to accept you’re capable of being wrong, you’ll improve much slower and get frustrated quicker

(2) Play your cards
Mana not spent is mana you didn’t have. Same with cards not played. Holding cards to try and maximize value or activate effects will lose games when you forgo too much tempo

(3) Play to win instead trying to not lose
Always be figuring out how the game can be won and what sets you need to get there. Even if your out is unlikely, playing too reactively loses games

Related, (4) Your goal is always to reduce your opponents life total
You don’t win games because you did the fanciest play and control doesn’t win games by giving their opponent all the time in the world to get through their deck. Be aggressive regardless of your archetype
