BIG NEWS: the Progressive Caucus has secured the inclusion of a $15 minimum wage in the House's pandemic reconciliation package.

This has been a leading priority for our caucus and would give 27 million (!) low-wage workers a raise.
Every job has dignity and every worker deserves to earn a wage that they can live on.

By including $15 minimum wage in the pandemic relief package, Congress has the chance to lift nearly 1 million people out of poverty & raise the minimum wage for the 1st time in over a decade.
The Progressive Caucus was the first caucus to support a $15 minimum wage, with the introduction of the Pay Workers A Living Wage Act in 2015.

Thank you to @EdLaborCmte Chairman @BobbyScott and @SpeakerPelosi for working with us to get this done. https://progressives.house.gov/press-releases?id=31EC8131-CAEE-4318-831B-E2605B3322A7
