(1/5) @RBKC's very out of date website page for Road Safety contains only a link to their last Road Safety Strategy from 2010, and a report on 2016 Road Collision and Casualty Data: https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/parking-transport-and-streets/your-streets/roads-and-pavements/road-safety
(2/5) From their 2010 Strategy: "We are committed to encouraging road user autonomy and responsibility by removing barriers and restrictions in the allocations of road space."
(3/5) Seems that many in the Council are still on this outdated 2010 script. @RBKC removed the Borough's only protected cycle lane in December, and several councillors have made asinine comments about segregated cycle lanes over the past few weeks: https://twitter.com/JKBartsHeart/status/1357275021933240320?s=19
(4/5) Perhaps the decision makers ought to read DfT's LTN 1/20 on Cycle Infrastructure Design: "Cyclists must be physically separated and protected from high volume motor traffic, both at junctions and on the stretches of road between them."
(5/5) 113 people were killed or seriously injured in 2019 on RBKC's roads. The Council's target per the 2019 Local Implementation Plan was 72 by 2022.

It's time to actually do something meaningful about road safety in @RBKC. A new Road Safety Strategy is urgently needed.
