“I have believed for some time that there was...a ‘witch-hunt’ against him after receiving what I considered to be an improper request from SNP HQ seeking to damage Mr Salmond.”

Statement from Anne Harvey, Principal Assistant to Chief Whip with SNP at Westminster. @itvnews
Anne Harvey says she has “offered to provide a detailed affidavit along with the contents of this statement to Mr Salmond’s lawyers.” @itvnews
Anne Harvey also contradicts an earlier statement from Sue Ruddick, COO of the SNP:

“Ms Ruddick’s statement suggested an act of physical aggression by Mr Salmond. I know that to be wrong since I was the only witness to this supposed event.”
Comment from SNP on behalf of Sue Ruddick:

“Mr Salmond clearly agreed he behaved inappropriately as he called repeatedly to apologise. Ms Harvey was not present at the time of this incident.”
A day for the SNP.

Nicola Sturgeon denies she or her gov’s lawyers misled a court; Holyrood committee members asking the Crown Office to investigate her husband & party chief exec Peter Murrell for potentially offence giving false statements under oath (he denies).

Now this.
SNP in response to allegations Murrell gave false statements under oath: "Peter agreed - for a second time despite some committee members having prejudged his evidence already - to appear at committee and he answered questions honestly while maintaining anonymity of the women.”
