I find it sad and awkward when I’m the youngest in a group of people, usually 40-50-somethings (I’m 29), and I get teased about my age.
I find age teasing SO. CORNBALL. Talk about immature!
There’s something in it that feels like a “game” a la transactional analysis.

When an older person in a group suffers from insecurity about age, then teases the younger one, the younger is in a double bind: accept mean silliness and forced disconnection or embarrass the insecure one by bragging about their youth as a counterweapon

This happened recently at a party. It was dumb and awkward lol. I feel like they were inviting me into their insecurities, not into any worldly age insights.
The root of age insecurity in such party dynamics is usually-I would imagine-about about beauty/sex or regrets.
