When I was a young left wing woman, I fought actual fascists. My life was threatened by the National Front at one time due to articles I used to write + a court trial which I won't go into
I used to get phone calls of the type "we know where you live"..I was followed 1/2

I had to keep changing my phone number.. As someone involved in anti fascism and anti racism and international politics, I saw a lot and experienced a lot.
A person I had come to know well and admire was killed by fascists 2/3

I have always been on the left, and have got to know a lot of socialists and left wing women on here..3/4

Many of us became Trade Union Activists, Labour Activists, Snp Activists, Green Activists. I have sat on a bus with Patrick Harvie and others enroute to Faslane to march against Trident. I have marched with others against the poll tax with @citizentommy

Now, women like me, like Ruth Serwotka , like Helen Steel, @JohannLamont are being likened to fascists, women's groups like @ForwomenScot are being called a hate group for voicing concerns about Women's Rights. 5/6

What is more likely? That left wing, socialist women have suddenly become "Right wing bigots" "fascists aligned to US evangelicals" "Paid by the US far right".or that we are being demonised by entitled people who have no answer, who have never had to fight actual fascists? 6/7

Here is a wee Home Truth to those telling women "No debate" ..Calling us hate groups, trying to deplatform us etc.
You bear more resemblance to The National Coalition for Men + MRAs Than you do to any left wing socialist group.
When you cry "hate group"..look in the mirror.
