In Mecca Arabic has been spoken. This is the one of the reason God sent Quran in Arabic.
"We have not sent any Messenger except with the language of his people so he can make things clear to them. (Qur'an 14:4)

Another main reason for choosing Arabic is the fact that "He" and "She" do not necessarily imply natural gender. Thus, when God is referred to as "He," this does not imply gender at all. God be glorified; He is neither mal nor female.

This was not helped by such distorted expressions as "Father" when referring to God. You never find such a reference to God in the Quran.

In Arabic, one word has many meanings & The
Arabic is Easy to learn and memorize, I was able to memorize many chapters of the Quran because of its simplicity and easiness to memorize.
Recitation of the Quran in Arabic is just beautiful and soothing to the heart

Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand". (Qur'an, 43:3). God selected Arabic to be the language of the Qur'an from amongst all the languages of the world. Arabic is ranked among the top six of th world's major languages.

Arabic is very rich, comprehensive and living language.The translation of the Qur'an is impossible in any other language. However, learning Arabic is not obligatory in Islam and not the criteria to be recognised as Muslim .
