Things seemed bright for the patriots.
Then all seemed lost.

I feel this time of mourning is best spent getting to know the word of God.

Pick a book of the Bible and listen to it. (youtube)

The Holy Spirit most often references scripture when He is teaching you.
If you are already familiar with the Bible, pick something you have less familiarity with.

If you don't know the life of Jesus, start with the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)

Move to James, since he talks about getting wisdom.
Most of the new testament is written by St Paul, in the letters he wrote to different cities.
He visited Heaven, so he has divine insight.

Old Testament is valuable, since Jesus says it must all be fulfilled, and much is prophecy.
When the Holy Spirit is teaching me, He will reference both Old and New testament.

He uses verses, and Bible stories as examples.

He ties together numerous things from scripture.
When we broach the topic of martyr-ism vs God's protection, we will be referencing Old Testament bible stories, Psalms, The book of Revelations, and Hebrews.
And numerous other sources.

Whatever the HS wants to use to make His point.
We will talk about free will vs predestination.
We will consider how much choice has to do with our outcome.
And can we trust God for perfect protection?

And can a (pre-written) Life Plan be changed after it is written?
