Look I think this is a fine take, but it does rather brush over the fact that a person of colour and a working class woman also hosted excellent series over the last year, which in both cases gave opportunities to loads of new & working writers, which it doesn't now bother with. https://twitter.com/chortle/status/1358819875406426115
The show is great and good and funny but show me where these voices are being platformed and opportunities are being offered instead.
I don't think it's good enough to just say *it's better* now that one very experienced white guy is hosting and writing most of it on his own.
There are SO few places where newer comedy writers can be in a room, and this used to be one of them.
Anyway, shout out to Nish and Angela who were just incredibly compassionate, generous hosts, who worked under difficult circumstances + in the face of a lot of criticism. I thought they both did an amazing job.
