Good morning folks. Just thought I would do a thread on words that commonly trip people up
There = in relation to a place (ie over there)
Their = in relation to belonging of people (ie their business)
They’re = they are (they’re brother and sister)
Here = in relation to current location (I’m over here)
Hair = strands growing from skin/scalp (my hair is growing)
Hear = act of picking up soundwaves with your ears (I hear thunder)
Hare = rabbit (the tortoise and the hare)
A part = belonging to (I’m going to be a part of something great)
Apart = separated (we’ve been apart for so long)
I’m = I am (I’m hungry)
Am = first person of “to be” (I am going to the store)
Your = belonging to you (Your book is on the shelf)
You’re = you are (you’re beautiful)
This one is the reason English sucks

Desert = vast dry land (Las Vegas is located in a desert)
Desert = to abandon (Why did you desert me?)
Dessert = sweets after a meal (cheesecake is my favourite dessert)
Where = location (where is my sister?)
Wear = to have something on (I’ll wear my red hat today)
Wear out = to use something to exhaustion (I know this workout will wear me out)
We’re = we are (we’re going to the beach on Saturday)
*special mention* Were = past tense plural of to be (we were just talking)
To = in the direction of (I’m going to the store)
Too = as well/also (we had a good time too)
Two = 2 (I had two cookies)
Should’ve = should have (NOT should of)
