"Wentz Watch" continues and the chatter in some league circles is escalating. Good quick read from Brad here. https://twitter.com/BradBiggs/status/1358813695049162754
Around the league, there's a belief that the Bears' obvious desperation to find a new QB1 will make it easier for every team trying to unload a starting-caliber QB to link the Bears to their trade talks.
It's been my understanding that the Bears have at least called the Eagles to check in on Wentz and to gauge the current asking price. But it's been unclear, according to multiple folks, if they fall into the "just perusing" or "actively pursuing" category.
One consensus has been basically unanimous: Wentz's 2020 film is a horror show. Every team with interest has to play auto mechanic, assess the wreckage and estimate the repair work that's needed.
The above reality certainly raises a big question on how much a team will want to/should trade away to take on significant repair work.

All that said, the Bears are currently stamped with a "beggars can't be choosers" label by many around the NFL.
I've been calling the NFL's offseason QB market a white elephant gift exchange. The vibe is pretty strong that Wentz figures to be the next gift unwrapped by some team with this week as a real possibility for that.
