1) The notion that you are communicating to a disenfranchised population in this way is extremely regrettable.
2) The people who are described here as ‘illegal’ are UNDOCUMENTED as a direct result of the Hostile Environment.
3) A Large Number of Undocumented people are Key Workers. A significant majority having lived here for over a Decade working in the Care, Logistics, Restaurant & Warehousing Sectors
4) Our data suggests that an overwhelming Majority will not present to Vaccination Centres for enumerable valid reasons
5) Since the inception of Former PM May’s Hostile Environment, Migrants experiences with Reception Staff in NHS Hospitals and GP Surgeries are very bad, their unfriendly, dismissive and frankly discriminatory in their conduct.
6) Data sharing between the NHS and the Home Office will prove to be the single biggest barrier.(They say it will be ‘Limited’ , herein lies the insurmountable obstacle) They ought to legislate and bar sharing altogether
7) A Government that won’t repeal laws that resulted in the Windrush being deported(this is indefensible) will never be Believed by our Communities
8) What is required is a different and a more compassionate offer. The language of Illegality must be done away with.
9) The Government unfortunately won’t speak directly to Organisations like ours, this is why they keep making basic errors in communicating to our Communities
10) A simple change of Language ie call people UnDocumented will shift people’s attitudes towards Institutions that are always Hostile to them
11) What is required is for the Government to recognise that when the British Public were clapping for Key Workers they were also clapping for UnDocumented people who look after their Loved ones in Care Homes(however much an unpalatable reality this is, it’s the truth)
12) They’re clapping for Drivers who deliver their Shopping from the largest Supermarkets, their Takeaways from the GIG Economy and Nanny’s to the Middle Classes in the Shires
13) The Remedy is Simple yet requires Courage. The Government must set out a path to Regularisation for UnDocumented people.
15) The Biden Administration recognise the Reality of their citizens being affected by those who are irregular and are in the throes of creating a path to Citizenship for the UnDocumented.
16) In Europe the Italian Government has recently Regularised the UnDocumented workers through an Amnesty because they recognise that if everyone is not safe then nobody is safe
17) Britain has an opportunity to clear the slate and start again on Immigration. Boris Johnson is on record pre Election talking about the benefits of an Amnesty. Now is the Time Prime Minister! @DailyMailUK @Telegraph @thetimes @covtelegraph @CityofSanctuary @JCWI_UK
