Instances of lawyer-led crime seem to be getting out of hand in Pakistan. In recent years, we've sadly seen lawyer groups attack a hospital, a few judges, and now this. Why aren't our Bar authorities suspending, disbarring, or otherwise disciplining involved lawyers? https://twitter.com/Brainmasalaar/status/1358656205208637440
In the US, lawyers have faced suspension for yelling profanities at county clerks & brawling with security officials, among other things. In Pakistan, lawyers have beaten up judges & witnesses on court premises, often with no professional consequences. It's bizarre.
How're judges supposed to decide cases fairly and impartially when they're scared of lawyer mobs? Our legal system falls apart when lawyers physically attack institutions of justice they ought to serve.
