jughead jones is demisexual, a necessary thread.
incase you don’t know what demisexual means, it’s on the asexual spectrum. demisexuals can only feel sexual attraction to people that they are emotionally bonded to :)
jughead had known betty years and had an emotional connection with her long before developing any kind of sexual feelings for her, explaining why he may not have realised his sexuality early on if she was the only person he had ever had feelings for.
with toni, there are multiple explanations: he wanted comfort, he was lonely, but also we don’t actually know what happened between them. maybe toni did all of the receiving. what i’m saying is that jughead’s night with toni doesn’t negate his demisexuality.
now jess. the writers have made it clear that jug n jess aren’t in love, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t emotionally connected. there are so many routes they could take:

why they live together. and maybe he wanted physical connection so bad that he didn’t care how he got it, even if he didn’t necessarily want sex.

what i’m trying to say is that it is possible that jughead is demisexual and that none of his relations with girls have disproven that. emotional connection ≠ love people !!
