Serena Williams really climbed OUT of her hospital bed to find a nurse & tell them she felt like she was suffering from another blood clot post-delivery.
The nurse told her she must be “confused” bc of her pain meds
After BEGGING for tests to be ran, they found SEVERAL clots.

Can you imagine mustering up the energy to climb out of her hospital bed while not being able to breathe because of SEVERAL BLOOD CLOTS IN YOUR LUNGS?!?!?!?
SHE STOOD THERE AND TOLD THE NURSE EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. She asked for a CT scan & an IV of heparin.
The nurse really ignored the fact she had suffered from this sameeee issue previously and told her was SHE was CONFUSED BC OF PAIN MEDICATIONNN.

And this is why I’ll always advocate for black women. The amount of black women dying because of blunt NEGLIGENCE is astounding
