I've joined those, inc @DoverBishop + @_KRAN_ in calling for closure of #NapierBarracks in Kent. But following @RachelReevesMP questioning today how lucrative Govt contracts are awarded, I asked Home Secretary whether she believes Clearsprings Ready Homes are earning their ÂŁ1bn?!
How are they providing safe, secure accommodation for traumatised asylum seekers, most of whom have fled war torn countries, suffered torture and persecution? How are they keeping them safe? How did they win the contract? To those saying, "it was good enough for our soldiers!"...
Well, that may have been the case several decades ago but soldiers have not regularly been housed there for many years. And as for #Napier being 'Covid secure', we know that most inmates have caught #COVID19 as they share very cramped facilities.Home Sec must #CloseNapier now.
