If you can click your heels three times and produce enough powder to garnish a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts, this
foot care
thread is for you:

Feet tend to get neglected a lot in the colder months but dead skin can build up all year due to lack of moisture, wearing shoes without socks or cushion and walking barefoot. Dancers + athletes are especially prone to calluses from the repeated friction as well.
The fundamentals of happy feet are pedicures to keep your cuticles + hangnails maintained. If professional visits arenβt available to you at the moment, this is the best DIY tutorial of all time
You can chemically exfoliate every part of your being including your feet. The process is nasty but AHAs+BHAs are able to cut through that thickened skin and slough it off compared to physical options. The results are longer lasting as well!
Exfoliating lotions are another option for those who canβt tolerate wings growing out of their feet for 7 days. Some of my faves are Glytone, Amlactin and Alpha Skim Care.
Now if youβre on a budget budget, apply a thick lotion or butter, wrap Saran Wrap or a plastic bag over your feet and put well fitting socks last and leave on overnight. If you have to go the physical exfoliation route, use a pumice stone, not the cheese grater!
