#Netaji renamed those Islands. Andaman was named as Shaheed Island , Nicobar as Swaraj Island.
On 30 sep 1943 #Netaji unfurled tri color for the first time there. This tricolor was of Azad Hind Govt.

A C Chatterjee was Finance minister, S A Iyer was Information and Broadcasting minister, Captain Lakshmi Swaminathan was Women minister.
Azad Hind govt had got recognition of 9 countries including Germany, Japan, Phillipines etc.

Azad Hind govt had opened its Ambassy offices in several countries.
Azad Hind govt had its own Bank (Azad Hind Bank), Currency, Postal ticket and intelligence system.
Azad Hind Bank had issued notes from Rs 10 to 1 lakh.
