Your two questions:

1. Democracy for the literate?

In India's experiment, this is proven untrue. It's the so called illiterate mass that voted wisely each election.

Remember how Indira lost. https://twitter.com/ARSaumitra/status/1358673698056663040
BJP has been the most democratic of all parties that ruled India with Congress being the party that dismissed most democratically elected govts in states.

So, if this measure is to be used, then Bengal, Tripura, Bihar and Kerala with high literacy took longer to elect BJP govt.
Look at the poll patters, poll %s, and the parties they elect
and connect these with the issues/ performance of the incumbent govt.

You will see a clear pattern of well informed voters from rural areas/ states with lower literacy having voted based on issues and performance.
Q2 on what ordinary people could do to stop communism

1. Always seek truth and stand uphold it

2. Participate actively in the political and democratic processes

3. Support good governments and good leaders

4. Study and isolate communist influences across all spheres of life
4. Name and shame them, predict their next moves.

5. Stay in touch with likeminded Dharmics and share issues actively

6. Importantly, reach out to our young and speak to them about communist influences

5. MOST important, do Swadharma Paripalana and support Dharmics.
