I got to thinking of all the times someone has thrown the name of a mafia at me since high school in order to intimidate or threaten me.
Jason used Mexican Mafia in order to get my girlfriend and EVERYBODY knew it. The last time I shared with anyone (before 2012) that the

Mexican Mafia had been used 'against' me was when I worked at 'Jack In The Box' in Glendale, Colorado.
Next up is Black Mafia, and that was started by Diamond from California.
After that is the KKK and the Aryan Brotherhood. I count before high school, then they would definitely

be at the top of the list.
Italian Mafia was mainly Mary Henson. If there was anyone else, it wasn't in a way or to a point that would constitute truly mentioning (at this time).

SIDE NOTE: If "those people" hadn't set me up since the 80s, then many 'intertwined' families may not have been so keen to jump on the bandwagon of enforcing the I can't train or have an engineering degree "unwritten" rules. Smh.
