Why Fairy Tail is my top 1

(A VERY LONG THREAD)

Firstly I just wanna say I've never watched an anime I've enjoyed and loved as much as Fairy Tail, it literally has everything I could possibly ask for and more. This entire thread may not even be enough to show how much I love it.

So to start off with of course my fav main character in anime, Natsu Dragneel. Theres honestly no special crazy reason to why I like him. He's funny, badass and cool as fuck what else is there to say? You won't know how I truly feel unless he is also one of your favourite mcs.

Now technically both Natsu and Lucy are the mc but I like Natsu slightly more so I see him as the main mc. On the topic of Lucy (peak female) she is quite literally the best girl in anime in my opinion. Now I'm gonna go real deep to prove this bold claim of mine.

Amazing personality, character development, looks, Lucy really has it all. As much as she's hated on unfortunately, I for one will always see how great of a character she is. Went through a rough childhood yet never switched sides plus showed me how pure of heart she is when she

let both Flare and Minerva off easily despite how they treated her, holding no grudges. Not to mention how Lucy was a vital key component to defeating both Zeref and Acnologia thus saving the world. She showed off that she would do anything to save her friends when she could have

died if Gray wasn't there when rewriting the book of END. With the fight against Acnologia she demonstrated her incredible leadership skills forming a plan to take out Acnologia and knowing which characters were best suited for what tasks.

Despite fighting with celestial spirits (using her own magic power) Lucy created a way to fight for herself too, known as star dress. No anime girl I've seen so far has this many things going for them like Lucy, the complete package.

Now onto the cast, without a doubt the best and most developed cast I've seen. Theres a saying that's along the lines of "quality over quantity" well Fairy Tail does both and a damn good job at it. Every single one of these characters has a great personality and have developed in

at least some way: Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Gajeel, Laxus, Mirajane, Juvia, Wendy, Jellal, Ultear, Meldy, Cobra, Midnight, Sorano, Sting, Rogue, Rufus, Minerva, Kagura, Flare, Gildarts, Makarov, Freed, Cana, Mavis, Zeref, Acnologia, Brandish, Lisanna, Elfman, Levy, Milianna, Lyon

There may be more but all of these characters (a lot tbh) stand out to me quite a bit (not to mention Edolas counterparts).

Another reason why I love Fairy Tail is the OSTs, I may be biased but I don't care Fairy Tail OSTs are fucking bangers.

They have a really unique vibe to them that fits the nature of the show very well. A few in particular I'd say the main theme, sannin no dragonslayer, Natsu's theme, and blazing guy. The One below is Natsu's theme.

The openings. Oh god damn I almost cried watching some of these again today. Yet again quality and quantity, I love every single one of these openings and although Believe in myself is my favourite, this opening has grown on me the most, best opening to end off with

Endings there isn't much for me to say other than they're such a vibe. Take be as one (ED 6) for example

Onto story, well its crazy that I never had any big expectations for story yet things like Zeref, the gmg and tartaros arcs left me speechless and really turned the tables.

Also Fairy Tail doesn't have romance as a genre but Mashima snapped and made one of the best fucking love stories I've ever seen.

Zeref is by far my favourite villain in anime, the fact that he had to act evil to not destroy life around him, despite doing so anyway and that he suffered alone for many years because of his curse. Cursed for curiosity, a natural human instinct and in this case Zeref's went too

far despite what his motives were and ultimately had to pay a much greater price.

Fairy Tail definitely nailed the fights too, pure mayhem is all I'm gonna say.

Best point for last and that's the main theme of Fairy Tail: Friendship. Watching Fairy Tail from start to finish I've always felt like I was a part of the adventure and felt included and made me curious as to how awesome it would be to be in a guild to go on quests with friends

or learn magic and grow stronger or just chill in the guild hall. It feels like a dream world that I definitely would love to live in. Friendship as a powerup has always made sense as it relates back to the main theme being friendship and it's those bonds thicker than blood that

the guildmates share that empower them to protect their family.

Lastly I wanna say some flaws I found in the series because no anime is perfect, not even my top 1. Firstly, many characters in the Alvarez arc had their potential wasted such as Acnologia and August.

A fight between Zeref and Acnologia was something I yearned for but never got but like many have said a three way Natsu vs Zeref vs Acnologia would also have been satisfying to see. Makarov played with both mine and your emotions when he came back to life. These are the

main flaws that stick out to me the most but without a doubt putting them next to the benefits it is heavily outweighed and I still love and accept the series overall for what it is.

Quick sidenote to my favourite mangaka Hiro Mashima.

I only started being a fan last year but I love your works so much already sensei! I still need to get on Rave Master but I definitely am checking it out someday to see yet another masterpiece by the goat.

Lastly, a special message to my man @SangenshokuJr . Man you really are the agenda pushing goat, you're the reason I watched the masterpiece known as Fairy Tail, so thank you so much. I know you may not think much of it but I wouldn't have watched Fairy Tail if it wasn't for you.
