Thread on why we 'lack intensity'.
Fabinho - Fells like a lifetime since he played in midfield. Think about how frequently he wins the ball back high up the pitch, stopping attacks before then even start and instantly putting us on the front foot.

Henderson - Liverpool have lost 2 games since Oct 2018 that he has started in central midfield. His energy and co-ordination of the press drives Liverpool, his presence also gives TAA the freedom of the park to attack whereas we've seen the fullbacks playing deeper to protect CBs
Virgil Van Dijk - The fastest player in the squad (according to the players) normally allows Liverpool to committ so many more numbers in attack and counter press because they trust his recovery speed and 1vs1 defensive ability. Joe Gomes is reportedly the second faster player...
When the team were forced to drop deep traditionally the tactic would be for VVD to play a long diagonal, nobody is a better 70 yard passer, without him doing this, the wingers are dropping deeper to receive the ball, making the pitch smaller and blocking up full back's space.
The team is built to play in transition, if we don't have naturally destructive players like Fabinho and Henderson in midfield, we don't win the ball as the opposition are attempting to launch an attack.
Catching teams in transition allows space for our forwards to break into.

The fans man....
I surely don't need to explain how Klopp has weaponised Anfield and the fanbase on matchday. The team are adrenaline junkies, the get off on charging around and relish the physical battles. The fans clearly help to get the blood flowing.

Klopp has his methods, always gives players time to settle and obviously sees more of the defenders than we do but putting Fabinho and Henderson back in midfield certainly reduce the threat to our goal, stopping attacks before they get close and turning them into counter attacks.
Not reasons we lack intensity:
-Thiago, he is a lunatic and will fit in perfectly with Fab and Hendo.
-The bench, Klopp doesn't even make subs ffs.
-FSG, cry me a river, they do a better job than most.
-Complacency, this bunch of players/staff? Not buying it for a second.
