Australia was among 7 states who intervened in an effort to stop a ICC investigation. "Australia does not therefore recognise the right of any so-called ‘State of Palestine’ to accede to the Rome Statute. The ICC should not exercise jurisdiction in this matter" - FM @MarisePayne

If #Australia wants to be listened to when speaking out on human rights abuses, it must be consistent & not selective re when international law shld apply. The ICC's ruling should be respected & its independence protected.
