Gareth Williams was a shy GCHQ maths guy in WAY over his head at MI6. He died in an MI6 safe flat, unprotected, left for days, and since then, heâs been thrown to the wolves, his reputation slandered - rather than admit the truth: he was doing dangerous work and was not protected
MI6 recruits are v streetwise. Gareth Williams a maths genius but typical GCHQ, more innocent. He died unprotected. His killers meant to take that bag away, didnât - heâd have just *disappeared*. He died in service to this country - & instead of dignity has been slandered since.
The heating was on in August? No finger prints? Locked himself in? No evidence of people in the flat? No one checked on him for a week even though he lived 3 mins from MI6? Concealing nature of his work was the priority and not justice.
I have 0 theory on who killed him. The point is - our government who put this shy guy who was not a spy type and hadnât had full MI6 training (itâs hardcore) on dangerous work, left him exposed and then slandered him ever since.
10 years and his family still have to read this stuff, his treatment since death has been horrendous.
He didnât like working at MI6 and was desperate to be transferred back to Cheltenham. Poor guy.
The family did what they were supposed to do - contact GCHQ not the police if concerned. Called GCHQ at 11.30 am but services not call police until 4.30. Police entered flat within 10 mins of call and found scene. Why the delay???
Things we are told about Gareth - 1) he was a âjunior analystâ and thus no one would want to disappear him. If so âjuniorâ, why the delays/cover ups/obstructions? And even if he was, didnât mean he didnât find something /or he was an easy target to be a warning.
2) Gareth went to clubs (like most young singles). Used against him to suggest he exposed himself to risk. Right! When 000s went to London clubs and nothing happened. But he died. Seen suggestion in Indy that he met sources there - maybe so.
In so many hearings, you hear from a friend about state of mind. Was there really no one who got chatting to him - did he go to clubs entirely alone and not even chat to bar staff? Local shopkeeper? No old cycling friend? So the only people he ever spoke to were MI6???? Okay.
