Dear white brothers & sisters, when you have racially offended another ethnic group, don’t ever present the dynamic of offender & offended in adversarial terms. Also, don’t just acknowledge offense, affirm the legitimacy of it. You can do this, don’t get exasperated, keep at it.
Form experience, seems many white people withhold in the full confession aspect of repentance regarding racial insensitivity out of fear that if they admit to doing/saying something racist they will be seen as being “a racist”. Beloved, crucify that fear, it’s not of God.
No one is surprised when white Christians do something racially insensitive. Y’all have 100s of years of conditioning to deconstruct. Racial disunity primarily persists b/c of the fear & unbelief that leads white Christians to assume we won’t love them enough to truly forgive.
