I think what annoys me the most about the discourse around stuff like Stadia, VR etc, is that people hate on these things without ever trying them or taking the time to actually be informed about them.
I love tech innovations and I thought OnLive was super neat when it first arrived. While I have no skin in the game with Stadia itself, I do want to see that technology succeed, and the same with VR.

Business models can adapt and the more services we have, the more competition.
It's just weird that a lot of the discourse around these things have people that have no interest in it at all, wishing for these things to not even exist because of...reasons.

People need to remember not everything is "for them". Games discourse often forgets that, I think.
I was super disappointed that Crackdown 3, for example, didn't live up to the promise of a fully destructible world in its campaign. I was SUPER excited to see that tech come to life, even if it was a long shot.

People were so cynical about it from the very beginning though.
Totally understand the "cloud" talk, but also I guess I'd rather be optimistic and excited about new tech or gaming innovations succeeding than being so cynical about it the entire time. "Shrug"
Anyway, Stadia's not the endgame for cloud gaming either way. People that enjoy cloud gaming are quickly finding other options like Luna and XCloud.

I think Stadia's audience does need to be careful about not being overly loyal to a platform like Xbox, PlayStation fanboys.
All these other services are going to continue to improve overtime, so the one that offers the best deal, the most games and the best tech will win out.

Who knows if that's gonna be Stadia. I still think if it becomes to Hulu of Gaming, they'll be just fine.
Stadia Pro with a variety of AAA, AA and indie titles + separate subscribable (new word) offerings for EA Play, Ubisoft+...Activision+, 2K+...whatever. That's the future I see where they succeed.
