Out of curiosity, was the letter from Times staffers about McNeil ever released publicly? I’ve only seen descriptions of it, no links.
I ask because I’m curious, in light of that long feature a while back on the NYT’s internal dynamics, whether the letter signers were actually all edit. Glenn going after the NYT Guild made me wonder.
Anyway, it’s not exactly a central issue in the story. Though do think it would be helpful for management and unions to set a clear set of rules on these issues.
