What am I avoiding by scrolling endlessly through Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and more?
Escapism is a defence mechanism, albeit a very weak one!

It’s an attempt to make your negative feelings, anxieties and stress, dissipate without facing your problems head-on.

Social media has become a vehicle for escapism.
The more comfortable you feel in the real world, the less you’ll feel the need to escape.

Secure your peace, online and offline.
To those who feel overwhelmed and are perhaps reading this post both as a way to escape but also to learn.

Get to the root of your anxiety, the fear of literally “doing the living”, the fear of “being present” by asking yourself these questions 👇🏾
It goes without saying that if you are experiencing persistent low moods, anxiety (in any form) to the point that you cannot engage in your normal activities, you must seek professional help. Speak to your GP and if possible, let your close ones know how you are feeling.
This is such a tough and delicate time for all of us, but I pray this verse over you Psalm 94:19: “In the multitude of your anxieties within you, may The Lord’s comfort be your delight”.
