So that’s both Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines reporting less effect against the South African variant. I’m sure they’ll work it out, this time. Best hope there’s no further major mutations in places where partial protection meets with high infection rates, as per science folks.

Anyway, all it means is the same thing which has always been true: vaccination alone isn’t enough, there has to be a #zerocovid strategy and no letting the guard down too early.

It’ll all come right in the end as long as we do what’s difficult but right and not just what’s easy.
