The evolution of superbowl social media posts. Fucking thread.
Before social media, motherfuckers who loved the superbowl could watch it and those who didn't could mostly ignore it. Some could ever remain blissfully oblivious. Then came along social media.
Motherfuckers started live posting the superbowl. Just one word reactions like "DAMMIT." So fucking cryptic.
Then the non-superbowl-watchers, with the walls of their non-superbowl world shattered, began to retaliate with their purposefully, ironically "big game illiterate" posts like "is there a sports ball game on today or something?"
Some of em even got straight pissed and was like "I dont give a shit about this game."
Well a lot of the superbowl watchers didn't like that. So a new type of superbowl poster emerged, the prp-bowl retaliators. Superbowl fanatics started shitting all over the purposefully, ironically "big game illiterate" posters.
Then it just all went to shit. The final form of superbowl poster emerged, the preemptive strikers. Days leading into the game and folks are like "I'm gonna stay off social media cause all those FUCKING posts that I KNOW are coming." They never fucking do, though.
I theorize it will either eventually circle around to the beginning of the cycle, or perhaps it isn't cyclical at all. Perhaps this will lead to the downfall of civilization.
If this post gains any traction you'll see every fucken kind of poster I've mentioned here. Including ones I haven't mentioned like for instance the self-defender poster.
Have a nice buttfuckin day! Love y'all.
