We didn't need Aung San Suu Kyi nor 88 student leaders to come up with Civil Disobedience Movement, Three Fingers Movement, Pots & Pans Movement, or put thousands of people in the streets of Yangon peacefully protesting and chanting "Down with the military dictatorship!" did we?
This is the world of Millenials and Gen Z and their allies. We're entering the post-Aung San Suu Kyi, -NLD, -88 generation era where there's no place for racism, Islamophobia, Bamar-Buddhist supremacy, quasi-democracies, political prisoners nor violation of human rights, ...
... nor will we let the thoughts tinged with toxic way of seeing things tarnish the future that we will bring.
We will embrace everyone of and seek equity for all ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations.
We will recognize what everyone has endured under the military dictatorships and the authoritarian civilian governments, and seek compensation and justice.
Differences in our religions, ethnicities and sexual orientations will matter as much as differences in the last dinners we had, and will only become salient if our differences put us in a disadvantageous situations, which needs to be acknowledged and addressed.
Lastly and most importantly, we will ensure our generation is the last generation which had to live under a military or civilian dictatorship, and witness a genocide đŸ–€ 😔

In view of these goals, we will draft a new constitution and hold a referendum.
NLD and 88 generation student leaders can work with us in negotiating with Tatmadaw and serve as members of the interim government on our terms.
We will speak out for their human rights, respect them as our fellow citizens and be thankful for playing their part in the struggle for democracy. But this is where their roles end.
This is our fight. This is our world. We will win this fight on our own terms. They need not tell us what to do. We are the masters of our destiny. And only with our hands we can, and will shape our futures.

Godspeed and in Solidarity,
