It is very irresponsible for news agencies to post articles about vaccines and pandemic research before this research is published. It happens all the time since this pandemic started and I’m tired of this.

The Financial Times published an article stating that the AZ vaccine is less effective against the South African variant according to a new study which *is going to be published on Monday*. (2/4)
Yet, all the news agencies and the public are jumping to conclusions already, basing it on hearsay and rumours. That’s not how science works and we shouldn’t make comments on data like that without proper public assessment done by the scientific community.(3/4)

Scientists are working night and day to fight the pandemic. Statements like that do not help anyone and just fuel misinformation and unnecessary panic.
