Not that into football but I am into astrological prediction. At last year's Superbowl I made an assumption that 1st/7th houses were home/away teams, but the winner of that game seemed to suggest that the 1st house should be assigned to the team that wins the cointoss.
So the cointoss winner would be represented by the Sun in Aquarius, which is receiving an irritating inferior square from Mars, and a conjunction from Mercury retrograde. The cointoss loser would be represented by Saturn in its own sign of Aquarius, conjunct Venus, the BOS.
If the 10th house is the prize, then it is represented by Venus, which is in conjunction to the ruler of the 7th, in the house of the 7th. So it would suggest whoever loses the cointoss would win the game.
Looking more generally at the Moon in the 6th house of injury, we might wonder about the prospect of injury sustained in this game. The Moon's applying trine to Uranus in the 10th could suggest the outcome is somewhat of a surprise, against the odds.
It will be especially interesting to see what happens with the cointoss-winning team since their significator has Mercury retrograde applying a conjunction to it. They may feel unfairly done in by dubious/controversial judgment calls by referees.
A couple of other things to remember - 6:30 is the start time but last year the cointoss happened at 6:34 and the kickoff didn't happen till 6:41, so the chart I've posted here may be a few minutes off from when this event occurs, but Leo should still be rising.
One interesting thing about using the cointoss for 1st/7th house designations is that the 1st is always rising, the 7th is always setting, similar to how a coin is either "heads"(rising?) or "tails"(setting?) I may not be right but we'll see how this works in real time.
If I'm wrong and there is a 50% chance I am wrong, then it would suggest a more nuanced approach to designating the 1st/7th houses would be needed, such as seeing which teams are better represented by which planet based on their team name, logo, iconography, uniform colors, etc.
The Chiefs won the coin toss with heads. If it's correct to assign the cointoss winner to the 1st house, then based on what I've said here about the 7th house ruler, then "tails" or the Buccaneers should win.
