Happy #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay!

This day was created by @MatthewACherry back in 2018 to right a wrong and to celebrate one of our greatest artistic icons, #JanetJackson!
We appreciate Janet Jackson because her artistic offerings have been a balm to millions, she's paved the way for so many other artists, her philanthropy is so generous, and she advocated on behalf of marginalized people before it was trendy.

P.P.P.S. Today, we are streaming Janet's Jackson's album, DAMITA JO, an album that would have made it to #1 and produced hit singles if not for the misogynoir that led to her being banned by industry execs. Stream or purchase Damita Jo wherever available. https://open.spotify.com/album/0VMneW8zRFEqc2RffLf88S?si=rxC9dHvCTOOaRRH3wf8hFQ
#DamitaJo is such an underrated album. Standout tracks: "Strawberry Bounce," "My Baby," "Island Life," "All Nite (Don't Stop)," "R&B Junkie," and "Moist," among others.
